Social Cooking is an evening where you cook together with a group of strangers, get to know each other, and then sit down to share the meal you’ve all made. It’s for anyone who wants something a little different in Bologna — not just another restaurant dinner, not a formal cooking class. It works beautifully if you’re a local looking for a fun and original night out, or if you’re visiting the city and want to experience something genuinely Bolognese. No cooking skills required — just come with an open mind and good energy.
The evening kicks off with an aperitivo — wine, cured meats, local cheeses — a relaxed way to get to know the other guests before things get started. Then the chefs unveil the surprise menu and cooking begins, all together. In Bologna, the menu draws entirely from local culinary tradition: expect classic Bolognese dishes, sometimes given a creative twist by our chefs. There’s always a starter, a first course, and a dessert. Once everything is ready, the whole group sits down to eat what they’ve cooked. The evening runs for around 4 hours.
Not at all. The chefs walk you through every step and everything happens as a team — nobody gets left alone at the stove wondering what to do next. Social Cooking isn’t a cooking class: it’s a convivial evening where connection and enjoyment come before technique. Whether you’re at home in the kitchen or a complete beginner, there’s a place for you.
Everything. For around €45 per person you get the welcome aperitivo, all ingredients, kitchen equipment, drinks throughout the evening, and the final dinner. No hidden costs, no surprises at the end.
The evenings don’t follow a fixed schedule — we organize them on a rolling basis, mostly through the winter months. You can book straight from the calendar on this page, or contact us directly by phone or message. Need to cancel? No problem, as long as you do it at least 24 hours before the event — you’ll receive a full refund. After that window, unfortunately we can’t guarantee a refund.
Absolutely — we want everyone to feel welcome. Just let us know when you book and we’ll do our best to work around your needs. We’d suggest reaching out before booking so we can talk through the details together and make sure the evening works for you.
