It was easily one of the highlights of our time in Italy and an experience our entire family will remember for years to come. Alberto was fantastic from start to finish. He was warm, funny, engaging, and made the entire experience incredibly fun for both the adults and the kids. We learned so much about making authentic Italian gelato, but what really made the class special was Alberto and the wonderful atmosphere he created. We laughed, learned, made some amazing gelato, and genuinely enjoyed every minute together as a family. If you are visiting the area and looking for something unique, authentic, and memorable to do with your family, we cannot recommend the gelato-making class at La Soffritta enough. Social Cooking è una serata in cui si cucina tutti insieme, ci si conosce e alla fine ci si siede a tavola per mangiare quello che si è preparato. L’abbiamo pensata per chi vuole fare qualcosa di diverso a Verona — non la solita cena fuori, non un corso di cucina serio. È perfetta se sei veronese e cerchi un modo originale di passare la serata, ma anche se sei in vacanza a Verona e vuoi vivere qualcosa di autentico. Non serve saper cucinare: l’importante è avere voglia di stare in compagnia.

Come si svolge la serata?

Si comincia con un aperitivo — vino, salumi, formaggi — giusto il tempo di rompere il ghiaccio con gli altri partecipanti. Poi gli chef svelano il menù a sorpresa e si inizia a cucinare tutti insieme. Il menù cambia ogni volta e può essere un classico della tradizione veronese, un piatto italiano o una rivisitazione originale pensata dai nostri chef — ma prevede sempre un antipasto, un primo e un dolce. Quando tutto è pronto, ci si siede a tavola e si mangia insieme quello che si è cucinato. In tutto, la serata dura circa 4 ore.

Devo saper cucinare per partecipare?

Assolutamente no. Gli chef sono lì per guidarti passo dopo passo, e tutto si fa in squadra — nessuno è lasciato solo davanti ai fornelli. La Social Cooking non è una lezione di cucina: è una serata conviviale in cui il divertimento viene prima della tecnica. Che tu sappia fare a malapena la pasta in bianco o che tu sia già a tuo agio in cucina, troverai il tuo posto.
